F.A.Q

There’s an event of some kind coming up, or there’s something you need the practiced eye of a photographer for? Have no fear, Nulion Photography is here! On the spot, our custom session service, is available for virtually anything you might need a photographer for, and if you have questions about how it all works, you’ve found the place to be! If there’s anything this FAQ doesn’t address or answer, you are more than welcome to shoot us an email at our Contact Page, and we’ll get back to you ASAP!

What is Nuli | On-The-Spot, anyway?

It’s our on the spot service, where you summon us for virtually anything you need, and we show up to take pictures. We hang around for an hour (or longer if need be), nab all the photographs we can, go back to the lab to edit them and shine them up real good, and present to you a Digital Archives disc, customized DVD case, and ten prints of your choice. Easy peasy!

What all is included with a custom session?

You will get a full hour (plus more if need be!) spent with two charming and well-experienced photographers, a Digital Archives disc of the resulting photographs (in JPEG format) all edited and shined up (edits and originals!), a custom DVD case with custom inserts and box art, and ten prints of your choice on matte photo paper, in any size from wallet prints (A sheet of these counts as ‘one’ photograph) up to 8″ x 10″.

What kinds of events do you cover?

Pretty much anything. Seriously, if it’s possible and legal to photograph, we’ll do it.

How do we get started?

Simple! Just email us over at our Contact Us page, and let us know what you need. We’ll get things rolling.

What is the process, exactly?

The process is similar to our wedding photography process, which can be viewed Here. The difference is that there may or may not be a consultation depending on how complex your needs are, and that the entire affair is played much more by ear (or phone, or email, or what have you!). We show up to your event, take photographs, and will get in touch with you when your photographs have been edited. We will then set up a way for you to view the photographs (This can be done online or in-person), and you will choose up to ten photographs that we will then print up for you. Once the prints are all made, everything is either mailed or hand-delivered to you; your preference!

Is there a deposit?

Yes, there is a small deposit required for booking us. The deposit ($50) will be expected on the day we shoot photographs, and the rest will be expected upon completion of your disc and prints.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, credit or debit card, PayPal, and check or money order. For debit and credit card payments, there will be a 3% processing charge. For check/money order payment, please make these out to “Brandon Garner”.

What if I only want one photograph taken?

Well, the On The Spot service isn’t quite geared for that, but it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve done single-photograph commissions. With these I tend to work on a case-by-case basis, and will quote a price to you depending on what is requested of me. If it’s something simple, it’ll naturally cost less. If it’s more complex, then the price goes up.

So, you do commission work via this service?

I sure do! As stated above, I handle commissions on a case-by-case basis, and so the pricing of Nuli|On-The-Spot may not apply depending on what you have in mind. Just send me an email and ask, and I’ll be happy to work with you on whatever you’d like done. It’ll be at a fair price, as well.

Do I retain copyrights of the photographs resulting from hiring you?

Both of us do. I open up the copyrights and allow you to make prints on your own if you please, wherever you choose to do so. However, I also retain the right to use the photographs taken from your event for whatever purpose I deem fit. Usually, that means that if there’s something from your session that I really thought turned out stunning, it may appear here on this website or on our business cards or something of the like.

What’s with that name?

It’s my attempt to be clever! 🙂 The word “Nulion” is pronounced “Newly-on”, so I figured that an on the spot insta-photographer service oughtta take advantage of the name. So, it’s Nuli (sounds like Wooly) on the spot. The name “Nulion” itself was derived from an old character of mine on a video game, and it proved to be a very unique name on the internet; a rare commodity! So, I seized this opportunity and named my photography business after it.
